Defining Your Purpose

Consciously or subconsciously choices in life is defined by our objectives, targets or ambitions. The point is, how do we arrive at the philosophy that so define our purpose in life? The society has a way of dictating to us it’s definition of success, which happens to be a life filled with material acquisition and fame irrespective of how it is achieved.

There is no one size fits all kind of approach to life goals and objective, it is not like pass is success and fail is failure in life, it’s all about growing where you are planted, making the best of your circumstances in full, conscious and deliberate knowledge of who you are and why God created you.

Fear of tomorrow and anxiety determine the direction a lot of people choose. However, some choose nothing, in which case they are driven by the wind to where ever it takes them (they are unstable in all their ways).Note of caution; those who stand for nothing, fall for nothing.

Discovering your purpose

We must search and find our creator, just like the owner of a new gadget looks into and fully understands a manufacturer’s manual before operating the gadget.

Many books and psychologist offer coaching lessons on finding your personal purpose in life as a means of getting rich in the eye of the world, these are empty approaches, your purpose can only be found in God by searching the Scriptures, in it you find life. “Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life “(John 14:6). By the way, you are your best teacher, no one understands you like you do.

Ephesians 1:4-6  – Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him in love, He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intension of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the beloved.

Ephesians 1:9  – He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him.

Ephesians 4:14-15 – As a result, we are no longer to be children, toss here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but by the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspect unto Him, who is the head even Christ.

Living life to the fullest

when we discover our personal purpose we need to follow its lead or direction by living the life of our divine calling then and any then can we find peace in the midst of life’s challenges/chaos. Our sanity is a proof of Christ in us the hope of glory(Colossians 1:27-29)

2 Timothy 2:15 – Be diligent  (King James Version uses the word study here) to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth.

6 Things To Stop Caring About Today.

Temptation

We are constantly striving to be in control of our lives, what we choose to do or be is entirely up to us. We can afterwards rejoice in the resulting outcome with dignity or regret.

When we are tempted, we are forced to step out of our comfort zone, or some times we are made to face a potentially upgrading  uphill challenge. It is a normal life activity, a sign we are a contender for greatness.

Temptations are actually opportunities to triumph for people with a stable frame of mind.  Success is usually as a result of a series of activities (process) and is not a singular action (event). When success is achieved in a particular challenge, it is often difficult to identify the sum total of activities or experiences that lead to it, but, we know that past failures play a significant role.

Humans learn from all incidents in life and these experiences become stepping-stones for future success.  Temptations ought to leaves us stronger and better irrespective of the outcome. We  inherently love themselves and will avoid painful or unprogressive experiences as soon as we can.  Temptation reveals our vulnerabilities and should help us understand and better ourselves. It will help to read other blogs on related topics.Who are you?  and vulnerability.

Each time we fail we know we are a step closer to success. Continue reading

Self examination!

Some may say self-examination (Personal Audit) is for serious-minded people, or maybe you think it is time consuming. Believe me you are a serious-minded person who has all the time in the world to do some soul-searching. It is as easy as doing the next activity you have set out to do – cooking, eating, dressing, visiting and lots more.

Everyone is intuitively engaged in self-examination, but, with minimal result. It is hoped that after today, we will make the most of searching and understanding our motives and actions.

If you are not alarmed by your discovery, start again, mind you this is not meant to be an event but a continuous process – daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal as desired.

Generally, evaluate the past as well as present experiences, choices, omissions and associations. You need to benchmark yourself against standards (like moral laws/obligations, bible, traditions) you personally uphold or believe in. it is also important to look up to chosen mentors in the society.  In a nutshell build a picture of who you want to be and note deviations from this image. It will be useful to document your thoughts. Date and place should be included.

The aim of self-examination is to discover the unique beautifully created flower we are, much like your zodiac sign for those who believe it. You must not condemn who you are, wallow in   self-pity or guilt. Appreciate who you are, to boost your self-esteem and gain needed confidence to improve.

Vulnerability

Hi all,  welcome to my blog site, you will enjoy reading about some of my discoveries. let’s start with personal vulnerability.

I am (your name) a special person

You may be imperfect, unusual, not really who you thought you were.  Never mind, you are work in progress. Who do you want to be? From this moment see yourself as that person.  Your vision and purpose shapes you.You have all you need to get there.

Vulnerability

Vulnerability – Susceptible to emotional hurt or external control or physical attack. Liable to succumb, as to persuasion or temptation.

As humans we tend to be deficient in certain areas of life at some point in time. We than become vulnerable to our co-travellers (family, friends, colleagues competitors, enemies and so on).

We are created to be in control of ourselves, environment and other living things (not people) – remembering the Garden of Eden; however, evil men have extended this to include other humans even to the point of annihilating competitors. Cain killed Abel because he was envious of him.

History tells us of tribal and national wars using bow and arrow, guns, bombs and other weapons, but today, tactics rather than physical warfare is employed these include conspiracy, technological manipulation,  industrialisation, materialism, capitalism and lots more.

To survive and be who we want to be, we need to be in control of all factors contributing to our peace and wellbeing. Let’s start with the basics, food, clothing and shelter. Thrive to be gainfully employed in activities that will generate money to enable you provide these.  Nothing should stand between you and an honest and morally acceptable job.

Be content with who you are and where you are coming from, others may emotional degrade you to make you their subject – mind game, if you constantly remember your vision and purpose you will not fall victim.

Always search within for more knowledge and answers; there are resources every where – internet books, newspapers, travelling, library and getting involved in practical activities of everyday.

In as much as God does not want us to hurt others, he does not want others to hurt us (be wise as serpents and innocent as doves). We should be victors and not victims.

Are you a victim or a victor?

It is a constant challenge to watch out for those that want to take advantage of your vulnerability to the extent of controlling or abusing you.  These people surprisingly are right in your family, church and at work and then of course in the wider society.
